About Me

My photo
A Cardiff based artist captivated by the experimentation of formations and organic shapes that we may naturally find or chose to manufacture into a delicate relationship of lines battling against one another. The uncertainty of exactly what is to be found within the formations is constantly intriguing. The potential to manipulate the hidden and subtle aspects of a form, whether it is figurative or just simply aesthetically pleasing, permits them to be transformed into a new, more noticeable, engaging, compelling or even beautiful way.

Developing Film ideas

This film is of my dog playing and running in the snow. It displays her behavioural routine out of the domestic environment. It's interesting to see how her behaviour has changed from in a domestic setting to outside.
From seeing the ideas behind this film, it's possible that I could even make a series of films that reflect the behavioural routines that my dog has.

I am particularly happy with the part at 0:37 where I have zoomed the camera onto Molly, this is where she dives into the snow. I felt that this playful expression of her having fun was unexpected and interesting.
This film is different to the other trial films as I am showing an adventure, almost a narrative of my travels in the forest. The shaky camera shots however, make this look amateur. I could improve by working similarly to 'Lucidity' which I had previously researched, this film showed a narrative adventure of a woman throughout a setting using camera still shots. I feel that after filming this piece, something involving stills would have a greater impact that a shaky camera.

The downside to this film is that there isn't much substance behind the film. there aren't too many shots of Molly's playful behaviour whereas my other film is quite lively.
